Hi, my name is Cherries, I am a Swiss-American Mountain Leader living in Verbier, the heart of the Swiss Alps, and I would love to spend some time with you in nature!

I have been guiding for over 10 years and I am still surprised at every outing!

I love taking people out and guiding them through the beauties of nature. It is fun to see what others notice. Let us take time to appreciate the environment and who we are.

So, what does it mean to go on a walk with a Mountain Leader?

It is your guarantee to the highest standards.

​Going on a walk with an International Mountain Leader is more than just a simple hike. It gives you the opportunity to enjoy nature with the confidence of being well looked after and learn something about the area.

The IML is the highest qualification one can acquire for leading trekking groups in the Alps and worldwide.

To become an IML takes about 3-4 years of training and course work. In Switzerland, the courses take place in all four seasons in the val d'Anniviers. They range from topics concerning the environment, (flora, fauna, glaciology, geology, hydrology), building igloos, local folklore, as well as medical mountain security and orienteering courses.

During an outing the focus is on your comfort, enjoyment, education and safety, all of which are equally important. Be aware that you are hiring far more than someone to show you the way! In terms of safety an IML is qualified to guide you on steep ground, on fixed equipment (ladders, chains, etc), and over snow patches.

• Walks will be tailored to your fitness level and personal interests.
• Novices and seasoned hikers are welcome.
• Excursions range from half-day walks to tours with overnight accommodation that can last many days!
• Outings may be conducted in English or French - I also dabble in Spanish & Italiano!
